Start Proud aims to connect 2SLGBTQIA+ students with employers, while promoting the development of 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals, and celebrating the achievements and service of those in the community.We facilitate the professional development of 2SLGBTQIA+ students as they transition from school to career in order to build a national network within the community. Our vision is to empower members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to be Canada’s leaders of tomorrow, where all institutions embrace inclusiveness within the workplace and diversity within the workforce.
Role Overview
Start Proud is seeking an Associate, Partner Marketing to support the execution of tailored, high-impact partner marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for a student or aspiring marketing professional who is eager to build practical experience in partner and B2B marketing, expand their professional network, and contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization.The Associate, Partner Marketing will own the end-to-end execution of personalized partner marketing initiatives designed to deliver value to partner firms while engaging and growing the Start Proud community. Note: This is a volunteer position. Start Proud is an entirely volunteer led organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the execution of partner marketing campaigns from start to finish, including campaign planning, copywriting, asset development, and launch coordination.
- Develop tailored, partner-specific marketing materials that align with partner goals and Start Proud’s brand and community values.
- Collaborate closely with the Corporate Relations & Partnerships team and theDirector of Content to design and deliver value-add marketing programs forpartner firms.
- Support cross-functional coordination to ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Track and analyze campaign performance and community engagement over time
- Compile insights and results to refine partner marketing programs, improve future campaign performance, and report ROI and outcomes back to partner firms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Marketing professionals, current students or recent graduates, or an aspiring marketing professional seeking hands-on experience.
- Strong written communication skills with an interest in copywriting andstorytelling.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.
- Interest in partner marketing, community-led growth, or brand partnerships.
- Familiarity with basic marketing analytics, content tools, or email/social platforms (e.g., Ortto, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Salesforce, etc) is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for Start Proud’s mission and commitment to fostering inclusive communities. What You’ll Gain

Commitment
