Roz Macey holds an HBA degree from Queen’s University, the AIMA designation from the Institute of Municipal Assessors and their Change Management certification from PROSCI. Specializing in farm valuation, Roz focuses on assessing rural properties, interpreting provincial legislation, and preparing evidence for administrative tribunals and other courts in Ontario. In 2021 Roz became the co-lead for MPAC’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Champion Team before moving on to create the organization’s first unofficial ERG, Blaze!. Roz founded Blaze! to raise awareness and visibility for 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals at MPAC and the assessment industry. Passionate about advocating for the rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ employees at work and beyond, Roz currently serves as the Co-Chair for Ontario’s 2SLGBTQIA+ PaWC Ambassador Program, an ERG Advisor to Canadian organizations, and a corporate public speaker and panel participant. Speaking openly about their Queer, non-binary, AuDHD identity Roz and their fabulous service dog, Rookie lead discussions on topics such as “Queer Intersection in the Canadian Workplace”, “Housing Barriers for 2SLGBTQIA+ Communities” and “Impactful and Inclusive Policy Change at Work”.
