From social work to beauty founder, Jean-Luc started his journey in business to cope with burnout from working in healthcare during the pandemic. With a mission to create space for queer faces and under-represented communities in beauty, Jean-Luc Cosmetics was founded on self-exploration and acceptance through beauty. What started with 6 liquid lipsticks quickly turned into a full-time job with numerous launches to follow. With the help from social media, Jean-Luc Cosmetics quickly scaled to a 6-figure business within its’ 2nd year with $0 in ad spend. Focusing on community building, he was able to garner a following of over 200,000 people over all social media platforms, with a loyal customer base supporting every launch.
