Hanson started his career at a Calgary-based non-profit leading fund development, strategic
institutional fundraising, and social policy and program development for 2SLGBTQ+ refugees, owning over $20M in strategic ventures.
After moving East after high school, he spent a year at Canadian National Railway in HR supporting the development of the newly established diversity and inclusion team, advising C-Suite executives on DE&I enablement, designing the organization’s DE&I measurement methodology, and building reporting materials for the Board of Directors and Institutional Investors. He then worked at KPMG in People and Change where he advised on enabling inclusion and accessibility in customer, employee, and patient success. Thereafter, he joined A.T. Kearney as a Consulting Analyst as a Generalist in their North American-wide strategy consulting practice.
At Start Proud’s he leads the membership engagement and strategic growth team, owning the
organization’s campus relationships and pan-Canadian growth strategy.
Outside work, you can find Hanson globetrotting (with a passion for points hacking), running along the waterfront, and exploring the vast food scene in Toronto.
