Job Description
Start Proud is seeking a Marketing Associate, Out on Bay Street (OOBS) to drive the execution of marketing initiatives for Start Proud’s flagship Out on Bay Street conference. This role is ideal for a student or aspiring marketing professional who wants hands-on experience in event marketing and management, campaign execution, and content development, while working on a high-visibility, large-scale conference.
Responsibilities
Own the execution of marketing campaigns for Out on Bay Street, including campaign planning, copywriting, asset development, and launch coordination.
Develop compelling marketing content across channels (email, social, web, and event materials) to drive registration, attendance, and community engagement.
Collaborate closely with the OOBS conference planning team and Start Proud leadership team to ensure marketing efforts align with conference goals, timelines, and messaging.
Support the development and execution of conference launch plans, milestone-based campaigns, and promotional calendars.
Track and analyze marketing performance and engagement metrics (e.g., registrations,open rates, social engagement) to inform optimizations throughout the conference lifecycle.
Assist with post-conference marketing efforts, including recap content, attendee communications, and performance reporting.
