I have had the privilege to work closely with corporate sponsors who are diversity champions as well as a cross-functional team of incredible people who are there to help me grow. Through various OOBS initiatives & team socials I have built great friendships and met many amazing career/life mentors. It's truly a rewarding experience and I would recommend any LGBTQ+ & Ally students seeking learning & leadership opportunities to apply and become a OOBS volunteer!Amy Yu, Undergraduate CommerceAssociate, Women's Events '16
My experience working with Out On Bay Street has been equally fun and rewarding. I attribute landing a competitive job out of business school directly to the network, skills and confidence I was able to gain through my involvement.Tony Giannopolous, Master of Business AdministrationExecutive Vice President '17 / Vice-President, Student Outreach '16 / Associate, Student Outreach '15
Taking on a leadership role within OOBS has allowed me to gain exposure to other functional groups within the organization. I became more self-aware of the skills and value that I brought to the table, and this in turn has allowed me to gain more insight into the direction I wanted to take in my own professional career. Together, we creatively find solutions to help give Canadian LGBTQ students the tools for success. If this is a cause you feel passionate about, I would strongly recommend volunteering with us!Julian Liao, Master of Financial EconomicsVice-President, Marketing '16 / Lead, Toronto Initiatives '15 / Associate, Marketing '14
